Um...

You know, I feel that it was my fault that you quit. If I had been more attentive, if I had acted sooner, if I had put more emphasis on kinship and integrity, maybe this wouldn't have happened. But it did, so all I can do to atone for my sins is to try and make sure it doesn't happen to someone else. So they don't feel the same hurt and loneliness that I'm sure you must have been feeling.
