Reaching

Sometimes, you need a little perspective to see what matters. In the end, money doesn't matter. People matter. Goals matter. Dreams matter. These are the things that keep people going. There are few people who live to have money. They live to obtain money to further their dreams, their goals. What is there to lose in reaching for your dream? Even if it's unrealistic?

To give up halfway is... a cop out. Why do people form relationships with those they don't love? Why do people come so close to reaching their dream, and then sabotage themselves?

You can mock those who seem desperately Polyanna-esque, who seem to be fighting a lost cause... but, they are fighting for their dream, they are trying even though the odds are against them. They will try as hard as they can to find a way to make it happen.

So, what wall is there that keeps you from just going for it?
For myself, it's the fear that I'll never be good enough. That I'll always be mediocre. That my achievements are not worth paying attention to. It's absolutely not true, but conditioning from an early age is kind of hard to change.
