Roast Chicken

The Easiest Roast Chicken, Evar
adapted from Martha Stewart

40 Cloves of garlic (or more)
4 lb Chicken
Butter
Thyme
Salt and pepper
Roasting pan

  1. Preheat the oven to 475º F, Martha says this, I thought it was way too high for the little chicken, so I put it at 400º.
  2. Wash the chicken, remove all the stuff inside and and pat it dry. Slather it all over with butter and season it with salt and pepper.
  3. Stick some thyme on it, in between the skin, inside the cavity. Stick some garlic in there too, if you want. Put the rest of the garlic around the chicken in the roasting pan.
  4. Roast it in the oven, basting the chicken occasionally with the juices that come out during the roasting process, until the thigh is 165º F, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  5. Eat your gaddam chicken.
